12/17/2007 DHL, UNICEF, Sanofi and HPIC team up to deliver life-saving vaccines to children of Uzbekistan
On Monday 10 December, 2007, the last shipment of more than 750,000 life-saving vaccines was loaded on an airplane bound for Uzbekistan, in the final chapter of an extraordinary humanitarian effort in Canada spearheaded by UNICEF, sanofi-aventis Group, one of the country’s leading medical aid agencies, and the logistics division of DHL to provide badly needed medicines to the children of Uzbekistan.

DHL Global Forwarding, part of the logistics division of DHL, today announced plans to combine operations in Atlanta by moving to a 220,000 square foot facility adjacent to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on May 21st. The new location is by far the largest freight forwarding operation in the Atlanta area.

01/26/2007 DHL Launches Domestic Airfreight Service
DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics company, today announced the launch of the DHL Domestic Airfreight service in China. To date, DHL Global Forwarding, one of DHL’s business units providing air and ocean freight services, is the first international forwarder to obtain the CATA (China Air Transport Association) domestic airfreight license, allowing them to operate within 17 Chinese cities. This is certainly a key milestone for both the company and the domestic logistics market, previously served only by Chinese state-owned and local companies.
