
DHL Global Forwarding, the world's largest provider of air and ocean freight services, has appointed Michael Schaecher its new Global Head of Air Freight. In this function he is Member of the Board of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight. Schaecher will succeed Victor Mok who has been selected to lead the important growth of DHL Supply Chain in the Greater China region.

In his new role as Global Head Air Freight Michael Schaecher will lead the strategic development of the global air freight product on a worldwide basis.
Schaecher joined the company in 2005 and has so far been responsible for Starbroker, the DHL Global Forwarding in house carrier, as well as for Network Management. Through Starbroker DHL Global Forwarding consolidates air freight from various countries at regional hubs thus creating significantly improved service levels especially into remote destinations.
Victor Mok has joined the Group with the acquisition of EXEL in 2005 and has worked in DHL Global Forwarding since. As DHL Supply Chain wants to strengthen its platform in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Mok was selected to lead these businesses given his vast management experience in the region.
