Beijing Olympics DHL Logistics Contingency Plan

Issue 27, July 3, 2008

As the 2008 Olympic Games will be held from August 8 through August 24 this year in Beijing, we wish to share with you our plans in preparation for the logistics operations during this very special period.

To make this memorable event successful, the Government will be implementing special arrangement and restriction in traffic control as well as airport operations in Beijing and adjacent cities. While the Olympic Games period is in August the special measures are in effect a few months before and shortly after the Games.

To ensure that there is minimal impact on our operations and services to our customers, our dedicated project team has been set up since March and has been collecting information from all related parties to establish contingency plans accordingly.
