As advised in our Issue 52 the Clean Truck Program in the Los Angeles/Long Beach port complex took effect on October 1, 2008. The ports have advised that they are still unable to distinguish between ‘clean’ and ‘dirty’ trucks, and have decided to postpone the fee collections until a later date. All other aspects of the Clean Truck Program have gone in effect as of October 1st.
