Issue 56, August 27, 2009
In view of recently announced General Rate Increases (GRI) in the market by the majority of ocean carriers operating eastbound routing, Danmar Lines LCL (DHL Global Forwarding) will implement a GRI on the Transpacific Eastbound Trade with USD 6 w/m effective as of the 12th of September. This level is mitigated from an initial amount equivalent to USD 10 w/m.
At the same time the market is implementing a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on the same trade, which will apply as of the 12th of September at a level of USD 8 w/m for LCL cargo moving via Danmar Lines LCL.
If any further mitigation on the given GRI and PSS amounts takes place, Danmar Lines LCL will adjust its tariff accordingly and an update will be issued in a future Spotlight Newsletter.
If you require additional information or clarification, please contact your local DHL Global Forwarding representative.
