DHL Global Forwarding North America, the leader in global forwarding and supply chain logistics, is pleased to announce the opening of our state-of-the-art facility in Columbia, SC to manage our U.S. Customs Brokerage and entry processing functions.

We have always been known as industry forward thinkers and this new processing center provides our customers with a consistent account management team with the flexibility to address exception management and proactive monitoring of their shipments. Another great feature will be our 24/7 operation, which will benefit customers by reducing clearance times on imports.

We will maintain our presence in each local market with a stronger focus on delivering consultative commercially-driven solutions to customers.

While the facility will open during the fourth quarter of 2009, most functions will transition at the beginning of 2010.
